It’s through the shared desire to make a difference, that Bearz Mountain is possible. Our partners, volunteers & apprentices are a vital part of our success.
Our Team collectively holds many years of rich plant history between them. Always eager to share & happy to see others connect with the land, we’re excited to host volunteers & apprenticeship partners.
We’re quickly growing & with each step we appreciate the true potential for our modest endeavor. As a small collective, we depend on the generous enthusiasm of volunteers & apprentices to flourish.
To thrive, we rely upon the organically grown herbs in our gardens & sustainably wild harvested plants around our farm to fund our work. Volunteers & Apprentices are the backbone of our season.
For those who want to get their hands dirty, we’re always happy to have volunteers join us. Volunteers will enjoy working side by side with Lori as she answers questions, teaches & shares her love of the plants.
Our Apprentices are near & dear to the work of Bearz Mountain, more than volunteers, they’re part of the family. Working alongside our team, they take part in the many day to day activities, needs & work of our farms. Apprentices can live on site via camping or travel from home. Meals & snacks may be provided depending on individual needs.
For our Apprentices, we offer a certificate in Wildcrafting & Native Plant Sustainability.
Suffused with Appalachian tradition, Lori carries a wealth of knowledge that flows through her work. No matter how you choose to get involved, you’re time on our ridge is sure to be of great exploration & plant magic.
